Pros

Good work-life balance, the office is deserted by 5:15pm.

Cons

This company is too large, which makes it easy for terrible management to run wild. HR at NBCUniversal is well-known across the entertainment and media industries to be god-awful, and in my experience that's entirely true. No concern for the development or well-being of employees.

We take employees' feedback seriously and encourage you to reach out to your Supervisor or the HR representative for your business unit. If you’d prefer, you may also use the Comcast NBCUniversal Listens Helpline at 1-877-40-LISTENS (U.S.) or through Comcast NBCUniversal Listens Web Portal www.ComcastNBCUniversalListens.com (Outside U.S.) to raise a workplace concern. These are managed by an independent third-party company. In the U.S. and as allowed by law in certain other countries, you may remain anonymous. However, whenever possible we encourage you to identify yourself so that we can more easily follow up with questions and/or provide feedback.  --The NBCUniversal Talent Acquisition Team

Pros

Great "VIP" pass for your family and friends at the theme parks

Cons

Unless you work in new venture, the business is pretty dull (a bit like a utility company). Very risk averse company. Very slow and "matrixed" decision process. A lot of "lifers" in middle management ranks that resist change.
