- 4.0Sep 11, 2023Senior DirectorCurrent Employee, more than 10 yearsLos Angeles, CA
Pros
Overall Universal is a great company to work for. The salary and bonus structure is decent but not the most competitive in the industry. They have stable management and probably the best structured studio for the future.
Cons
There are not many career paths forward. Some departments have seen their top performers move on as a result. The lot is under construction and the new office building is eliminating offices for many people that had them. Only SVPs and above will get private offices. People who had offices their entire careers will be working in cubes.

- 4.0Sep 18, 2023Anonymous EmployeeCurrent Employee, more than 1 year

Pros
People and culture are great
Cons
Low pay and slow movement
- 5.0Aug 17, 2023InternFormer Employee, less than 1 yearNew York, NY
Pros
Lots of opportunities for employee development and great connections to other employees. Great people all around. Robust infrastructure for interns to get to know each other.
Cons
I wish there were an in-person opportunity for interns to go to 30 Rock or meet their supervisors. I just felt a bit disconnected. I wish there were a more robust route for return offers for interns in the entertainment departments, rather than luck of timing.
