I have been working at NBCUniversal full-time

    Pros

Excellent company in terms of culture, product and people. Significant growth potential as company expands into digital products.

    Cons

Lots of turnover/reorganization across all departments - seems to be more and more similar to parent company Comcast. Despite desire to advance as an agile, tech-friendly company, many employees are still trapped in the old GE way of doing things.

    Negative Outlook

I worked at NBCUniversal full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

You can get benefits after a certain period. Some positions offer overtime. People that are mean don't last long and everyone is general pleasant to work with.

    Cons

Rates are low. Some people get taken advantage of and work insane hours. They rarely promote. It's nearly impossible to advance your career at this company.

    Advice to Management

Appreciate employees and explore employees talents that are definitely being under utilized.

    Pros

Terrific benefits! Great medical, dental, and fringe benefits.

    Cons

My team was a little cliquey and it was very hard to get on the inside with the VP. You very much felt like an outsider if you were not in her inner circle.

    Current Employee - Anonymous Employee

I have been working at NBCUniversal full-time

    Pros

no micro-management, laidback depending on your team (which can vary greatly). Nice lot and back lot.

    Cons

No one knows how tech works, antiquated industry, people love their titles, sometimes it's a revolving door, no educational programs or subsidized learning.

    Advice to Management

Employee benefits can improve (gym, education, food options/ subsidies, team building, community), openness to change
