      Pros

NBCUniversal broadcasts moments that shape our culture: whether its the Olympics, Golden Globes or the Election, working at NBCU means working on culture-defining projects - which is very cool

      Cons

every team has its own sub-culture which means that there's no consistency on what's expected of each level and who gets rewarded. depending on who your executive leader is, you will be appreciated for a job well done or made to feel that whatever you do isn't good enough. Some teams have an always on culture where you're called out for being slow to respond to emails on weekends or summoned back to work during paid parental leave (which is only 2 weeks).

      Pros

Really great company culture Putting a lot of effort into DEI initiatives A lot of opportunity within the company to explore other business areas

      Cons

Most job growth opportunities are located in NYC or LA which can definitely be a challenge if you're not located there, but HR is helpful and management is generally willing to discuss options.

An incredible experience, but may or may not be the right career move depending on your interests

      Pros

The cohorts are easily the best part of the program. You meet so many other young aspiring people and because of the nature of the job and how much time you spend with each other you can make lifelong friends. It's also a great way to grow a large network in media. I'll have memories from this unique experience for the rest of my life. If you are interested in news or you just want to work in media, this program has a lot of avenues to get there

      Cons

      - There are no guarantees what rotation you could get, so you might miss out on doing the ones that interest you the most (Late night comedy assignments are super competitive) - If you want to do productions other than studio productions, news, comedy you're probably better off finding another route. I don't see this program as a great way to get into field productions (outside of news) - Many people after the program go into EA or PA roles, which you could probably get right out of college without doing the page program

      Pros

Fantastic networking opportunities, amazing professional development, and an amazing way to start your career in media.

      Cons

It should be a higher wage with how selective the program is, but they are working on it.

Peacock Terrible Work Life Balance and Dated Culture

Apr 18, 2021 - Marketing Strategist in New York, NY

      Business Outlook

      Pros

junior and mid-tier staff kind and smart HR actually listen more than other companies

      Cons

most employees burnt out did 60- 70 hours every week for months with no break asked for support many times and got very little way too many junior employees, not enough experienced staff too many NBC employees not enough external hires means very poor diversity across race/etc but also work style/personality management care more about their reputation than doing best for their team decisions and process in bad place because leaders focus on ladder climbing and brown nosing instead of making right choice very drink-the-kool-aid culture, if you don't buy into it you will feel excluded speak when spoken to culture for midlevel and junior staff insurance program very disappointing
