Pros

The people who work there are mostly excellent, talented, and pleasant to work with. Universal City, CA location - it's a great place to work Lots of career opportunities, if you can survive the toxic environments.

Cons

When you're salary gets too high, they (Comcast) suddenly realize they can lay you off and replace you with a vendor/contractor. That's when the abuse starts. They give you unpleasant tasks, constantly berate your performance, make you work weekends, all in an attempt to have you quit so they don't incur the cost of laying you off. My colleagues and I had excellent reviews for years until Comcast took over. Then they removed most of our privileges like nearby parking, offices, etc. After that came the constant criticisms and looks and tone of open contempt at meetings. They treated the former vendors the same way. Everyone saw the writing on the wall. Many quit quickly, the masochists stayed behind for the coveted severance packages, which I doubt was worth the continued suffering. The new hires/vendors are offered rock bottom dollars. They keep interviewing until someone desperate accepts their low-ball offers.

Pros

Great "VIP" pass for your family and friends at the theme parks

Cons

Unless you work in new venture, the business is pretty dull (a bit like a utility company). Very risk averse company. Very slow and "matrixed" decision process. A lot of "lifers" in middle management ranks that resist change.
