Pros

Protiviti is a great place to launch a career. New hires out of college have many opportunities to experience different industries and projects. Seniors and managers are also very willing to help develop core business skills to new clients.

Cons

Protiviti like most companies is struggling with the current economic conditions. Their new branding and solution focus is probably too little too late. Lets face it, Protiviti is known for internal audit, SOX and being former Andersen. It is unfortunate that they could not develop more annuity work from their former clients. Protiviti's efforts to reduce costs has caused many of their top talent to leave or plan to leave. The current morale is low. Salaries are frozen and bonuses have been cancelled. People are now working hard to keep their jobs. In the long run this mentality will cause people to find jobs with more stability. In the long run, Protiviti should better define themselves in the marketplace and focus on the areas where they have top talent and can develop more annuity work.

Pros

Good Culture, decent pay, not overworked too much.

Cons

Repetitive, meaningless, and boring work, hard to pivot out of this career once started. Also, the consulting career feels like such a fake job at times. Doesn't feel like real work. Makes you question your life decisions. I'd recommend any college grads to think about their future career goals first before joining. I joined on a whim and wish I spent more time interviewing. It's been incredibly difficult to pivot out of internal audit and sox compliance once you are in it. However, if you are really good at corporate politics and advocating for yourself you may be able to pivot out of the IAFA solution . However, not sure how that lends it self if you want to leave the company.
