Pros

It is a well respected financial institution. There are great opportunities for advancement if you are willing to be a dedicated hard working employee. Along with that, management is respectful of the employees and are very forth coming when you have done a great job and also give helpful feedback when completing evaluations. I have had a completely positive experience during my internship at State Street and feel that the internship opportunity really gave me a lot of hands on experience that I may have not learned at other companies during an internship. Anyone would be very lucky to have a chance to intern or work for State Street.

Cons

Lower end of salary compensation.

Pros

They offer resources for learning.

Cons

In my previous roles I've never felt burnout but with this one is the first I was feeling crush. I don't think managers take time to structure the tasks on a 8hrs or 10hrs per day. There are a lot of unrealistic expectations, no work-life balance at all. Even if you made the sacrifice to stay late, you will not be done with the work for the day.
