    Pros

Great culture, self-starting and driven people
Everyone is very good at what they do

    Cons

Remote aspect (many of team members are dispersed all over the world) can be difficult sometimes, requires a bit of overhead to synchronize

I worked at ForgeRock full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

C Level executives were good people just not amazing at their jobs, therefore have been replaced with people who will get the job done.
Every department is pretty cliquey especially hr and marketing.
I think Fran knows what he is doing, which is weeding out the weak non performers. Old ForgeRock employees are desperately trying to hold on to the old forge rock. Just because your work friends are being given the boot doesn't mean they are not good people, it just means they were not doing their job to their full potential. So stop complaining.

    Cons

ForgeRock loves to tell new potential employees that the Glassdoor reviews are what prove it's a good company to work for, it's not.
There is someone in recruiting in the UK who takes down the negative posts and posts only 5 star reviews which I think is not right.
One admin always complains until given her way. She's been there a while.

    Advice to Management

Take those bad reviews to heart and fix the problem. Don't delete them and blame it on a mad current or ex employee. Fix the issue.
Try to keep some gossiping to a minimum as well. I kind of felt like I was in high school when I was there.

I have been working at ForgeRock full-time

    Pros

Pay is competitive, work life balance is good.

    Cons

Good luck getting your voice heard in engineering. Lots of talk about transparency and communication but very little execution. Mostly rah-rah sales meetings.

ForgeRock boasts about their glassdoor reviews yet very mysteriously many 1 star reviews have been removed.

    Advice to Management

Stop trying to hide your short comings, own up to them and fix the problems. You can't sweep our complaints under the rug.

I have been working at ForgeRock full-time

    Pros

A once great technology, with glimmers of hope for a product strategy in the future.
Great founders and some incredible people still there (for now)

    Cons

Culture is horrible and company is opposed to dissent internally
Horrible CEO that is both overwhelmed and disconnected at the same time....
Good executives are leaving and the newly hired ones are clones of the same mediocre standard of the CEO
Abusive behavior is tolerated if you are on the 'inside'
New Chief People Officer is another Symantec robot; good on spreadsheets, bad at culture
New Chief Marketing Officer is the same, good on spreadsheets, but not of incremental value to the company
Will take years to turn this around and hopefully the board will figure out what a mistake they made before it gets any worse

    Advice to Management

Only real change will fix the many things you are breaking. The company has lost it authenticity and certainly any care for employees.
The founders should realize the great thing they built is being destroyed.

    I worked at ForgeRock full-time

    Pros

Fellow coworkers were very nice and people enjoyed company sponsored events such as happy hours or yearly sales meetings.

    Cons

Only men on the executive team, HR is incredibly cliquey and does not take complaints or people asking for help/guidance seriously. They also pay much lower than other companies. Management also treats everyone else below them as though they are much lesser.

    Advice to Management

Hire a woman for a C-Level role, treat your employees as equals, and pay them what they deserve.

    Pros

Great People, Culturally very inclusive and diverse. Brings lot of good things from the Sun Microsystems days.

    Cons

Caught blind sided by SaaS, trying to catch up. There are advantages for coming late to the game, solve what others could not or over looked in the rush to SaaS. The overall IAM market is pretty much commoditized. Company has future only if it can differentiate with value add features beyond basic 101 IAM stuff.

    Advice to Management

Listen to the market needs. Ask what the Customers want to be solved. IAM is commodity, ask what value add we can bring on top of basic IAM.

    Pros

Truly a great collaborative and exciting culture to be a part of. Very nimble when it comes to support sales efforts or customer needs. ForgeRock puts trust and transparency at the center of their core values and they certainly operate with those values.

    Cons

Like any high growth young company there are some processes ForgeRock lacks and could benefit from. However, no doubt we'll get those in place sooner rather than later.

    Advice to Management

Continue to invest in and value your people as you do today. This has been paramount to our success to date and in the future.
