    Pros

A great learning experience! Great coworkers!

    Cons

Dishonest about Commissions, compensation, and underpay all Sales employee's. They advertise uncapped commission structure. It's capped as well as unobtainable. Hire quick fire quick.

    Advice to Management

Overall everybody is great at Nextiva, Great product, great atmosphere. They simply need to pay their employee's better & hire less.

I have been working at Nextiva full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

It doesn’t feel like a company with 700 people. There’s an ability to grow here and try things you may have not done before. Lots of good apples in the office.

    Cons

Monthly quota gets tiring but I’ve hit it every month except for one. Some bad apples that are caner.

    Advice to Management

Be more careful and thorough with your hiring practices and the account executives you’re adding. Feels like some people are added in a hurry.

    I worked at Nextiva full-time

    Pros

I'm not working at Nextiva anymore but did for more than 4 years. I had a great time. Saw the company go from being not well-known to one of the top company's. It was a rollercoaster ride all the time but an experience I loved and I'm grateful for. The friends I made are for life. I would tell people thinking of working there to do it. It's rare these days to find a company that's growing, cares, and has a bright future.

    Cons

I can sit around and nitpick about everything in life and my times at Nextiva. But won't bore you with my stories. I went into Nextiva knowing nothing about phones or even technology. I was a financial analyst that wanted to get into technology. I learned and it was a great time.

I have been working at Nextiva full-time

    Pros

In short, it's a great company. It's always been growing fast but right now feels like it's growing faster than ever before. I'd say this based on what everyone tells me. I mean it’t super fast paced and the growth is fast. What I like is that it hasn’t changed for the worse like my last company. I was at zenefits before. Firsthand I got to witness a company that went to over a thousand people right away and I saw a major change in practically everything for the worse. Zenefits was hiring everyone right away. Here it’s an enormous difference. People are sincere and leadership cares. I like to see the promoting from within and I like how there is a desire to keep customers happy. Which is very different for companies these days. Things like food in the office, events, helping nonprofits are great to see. The product is something most businesses need and that’s not changing. People in the office are friendly and approachable. There’s a dedication to the well-being of employees. Based on where I’ve worked and in talking to my friends in Arizona, Nextiva would get the crown as the best company in Arizona.

    Cons

Turnover of new employees seems high. The hiring process needs to improve. Maybe the firing process too. It's not like Zenefits but Nextiva can be much better than it is. I’d rather give 4 and a half stars overall. But the opportunity and what I’ve been doing at nextiva has been too good to knock them down a point. I know that some people just don’t fit in. But there still needs to be a better job of setting expectations, hiring people, or getting people knowledgeable about the company. From my lens it just doesn’t feel right. Turnover is expensive and the company can save money and be so much better if the right people are hired and supported the right way from the get go. This isn’t a Zenefits situation that was hiring college kids that came to party and not to work, so don’t get me wrong. I get frustrated when I hear about someone leaving or getting fired and I don’t know what is being done to make this better. For a company that’s been around for so long it needs to be better. I want to be at Nextiva for a long time and I wish the people I started with would be in the same position. I’ve learned that it’s not the kind of company where you come in and do the standard time and move up the ladder. You have to stand out and take charge. I got this advice from my first manager and it’s helped but it’s not a philosophy that’s promoted enough and that may be one reason why people leave. Because they don’t know. If you are not bought in to the company, it’s a tough place to come to every day.

    Advice to Management

I wrote a lot. I'd say find a way to filter good and bad before you hire them.

I worked at Nextiva (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    - Learned a ton about the many facets of networking and of it's intricacies
    - This job will expose you to the water instead of just dipping your toes in
    - There are some very intelligent and wonderful people at this company
    - Accountability; this was one of the most demanding jobs I've had, but it gave me a strong work ethic and taught me self-discipline
    - Catered food every Friday, ice cream every other Wednesday, and breakfast every Monday from Lock, Stock, and Bagel

    Cons

    - Could pay better, but the experience you will gain is invaluable
    - Underestimate their employees. No one can truly know an individual unless they are analyzed in-depth. I think that there is some really prime talent at this company that doesn't get the recognition they deserve.

    Advice to Management

    - Provide incentives to retain talent (higher pay or a career path)
