Inclusive culture and innovative team
Oct 21, 2022 - Growth Marketing Director in Scottsdale, AZRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Best culture I’ve ever been a part of! Amazing people who are always willing to step in and help. The company is growing quickly and allows you plenty of opportunities to grow with it. The culture is scrappy like a startup, which comes with its pros and cons, but in the end if that’s what you mesh well with then this company is phenomenal.
Cons
Being scrappy can sometimes mean things get launched before they’re truly ready. It also means timelines can be set for launches and then postponed. That causes undue confusion for people who aren’t involved in the pre launch planning. Some of that could be overcome with better planning and project management.

Pros
As an Executive Assistant, I have had the opportunity to work for several companies, but I would like to share my experience working for Nextiva. Overall, I find Nextiva to be a great place to work. The culture is inclusive, supportive, and promotes a healthy work-life balance. The Leadership is approachable and open to feedback, and the company encourages career growth and development opportunities for employees. One of the best aspects of working for Nextiva is the level of support provided to its employees. The Leadership Team also makes a concerted effort to ensure that their employees feel valued and appreciated, often acknowledging the hard work and contributions of the team. The Company's commitment to professional development is another significant highlight. The Leadership Team provides development opportunities, and they encourage employees to take on new challenges and responsibilities. I appreciate Nextiva’s approach to work-life balance, as well. They understand that employees have personal lives outside of work, and they encourage employees to take care of themselves and their families. This attitude helps to create a positive and supportive workplace culture that promotes employee well-being and productivity.
Cons
Overall, I don’t have any cons. However, at my previous company we had every other Friday off.

Pros
The people, first and foremost, we work with an incredible team - everyone cares not only about the work you output but also about you as a person. Also, Nextiva is a place where you can build and grow. If you like to take an idea and run with it, then you will love it here. I wake up every day excited to work and get things done. The unlimited PTO is also a great perk, and they actually encourage you to take it! There's tons of career advancement opportunities, and you will learn from everyone around you. The leadership team is incredibly approachable as well; everytime I've spoken with any of the leadership team, it's like talking to a friend. The culture here is unmatched; if you're looking for a place to grow some roots, Nextiva is the place to be.
Cons
In the past there has been an issue on getting too bogged down in the weeds, but this has been rectified and we're back in the right direction.

Love the People, Frustrated by the Direction
Jan 18, 2023 - ManagerRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
The people. There are many great people here who are easy to develop relationships with. Used to be a fantastic culture too. Flexibility, they work with you on family issues. Fast-paced, with lots going on so you don't get bored.
Cons
The culture has been dropped. There's little to no budget for activities, used to do lunches and everything for whole company but now it's a fight to see things done for any department but Sales. Some departments are good at employee recognition but it is not company-wide. Should be on a larger scale and accomplishments should be celebrated not minimalized. The Channel team is over-promoted. They throw their weight around and ignore that we're all supposed to work together. A couple of the CMs talk down to employees, telling them that it's below their job and that they're busy in the field when asked for help. Or they just ignore you. Communication is not good. Upper management plays their cards close to their chest and don't share information. Departments are siloed and don't share changes. New products are deployed without being properly vetted. Frontline employees are left to pick up the pieces and chaos while upper management is singing the praise of how great it is. And pay. Nextiva has brought up pay but it is still painfully low, unless you're sales or top management.

Pros
Nextiva's team consists of very talented people across the business. I feel empowered to do my best work and there is a high level of autonomy to own your area. I've enjoyed my first 6 months and I'm looking forward to all the great things ahead. Personally, I'm excited for the Amazing Bowl coming up. I've heard great things about it from many people in the office.
Cons
I've noticed that there's a real effort to improve communication across the business since I joined. No company is perfect, and communication is often a struggle everywhere I've worked. But leadership has made major efforts to improve all aspects of the culture and atmosphere and it's amazing to see how much has improved in my first 6 months here.

An exciting place to work with highly-motivated people
Feb 24, 2023 - Marketing Director in Scottsdale, AZRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Nextiva has provided countless opportunities for my team and me to make an impact in the business. All of our work is purposeful to the point that we find it very easy to say 'no' to things that do not move the needle. This speaks so well to a team that not only enables each other, but trusts the contributions of individuals without micro-managing. As someone who has been here a while, I personally find a significant amount of pride in the work I've done and greatly appreciate the autonomy I've had to achieve it.
Cons
It can be challenging here for team members who need to be told what to do in order to get work done. Admittedly, the culture favors self-starters and those who lean towards proactive mindsets, versus individuals who need a more traditional, corporate structure. Nextiva is definitely not a corporate environment.

Amazing Service For The Win
Feb 23, 2023 - Senior Manager, Customer Care in Scottsdale, AZRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Nextiva is a company that works hard to uphold its core values. Dedicated to customer service first, we continue to push for new ways to improve not only our product but the overall customer experience making it a truly unique culture that genuinely values people. With consistent growth year over year, Nextiva has a tremendous amount of upward mobility and prefers to promote from within. All team members have valuable feedback and are encouraged to participate and share upstream. I've recommended Nextiva to many people who have developed long term careers and will be here for many years yet to come.
Cons
With rapid growth and technology-based products comes rapid change. This can be challenging for some who are not used to a fast-paced race for success.

Pay, flexibility, pretty much it
Cons
Upper management Micromanaging Do what they can to move the goal posts More work less pay New changes almost every day to systems making it impossible to stay up to date on how things work Support will tank your deals Upper management are bullies and who will smile at you when you have a good day and then be in your face if you haven't made a deal in a few hours Everyone in each department does their best to not do their job and pass it off

Don't want to work anywhere else
Feb 27, 2023 - Director of Technical Program Management, Information Technology in Scottsdale, AZRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Challenging - will test your limits and teach you that you can do more. Always learning - and no shortage of co-workers to teach. Best boss ever.
Cons
Too many meetings! Hear it from many employees that they can't get any work done during working hours because the days are FILLED with meetings so they end up working after hours which impacts work/life balance.
