I worked at Pinkberry part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Hired genuinely kind, positive people
Easy access to Manager and shift leaders

    Cons

Rotation of back-duty and front store-duty did not always seem fair, but dependent on individual shift leaders

I worked at Pinkberry part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Easy work (cleaning the store, making yogurt, doing dishes), long breaks (not much to do in-between rushes of customers so you have downtime), good atmosphere

    Cons

Extreme corporate guidelines (ridiculous standards - you are wanted to keep the interaction brief to get the customer out quickly, but they also give you very specific things to say to them), secret shopper surveys could make or break your employment there (near impossible to get 100% on them), poor management in corporate trickles down to individual branch management

    I worked at Pinkberry full-time

    Pros

Free frozen yogurt during your shift and that's largely it. If you enjoy food prep it's nice, because you're chopping fresh fruit in the morning, which I enjoyed.

    Cons

The franchised location I worked for was running out of money while I was there and has since shut down. I had some really tough co-workers. Over all though, it wasn't bad for a food service job. Tips were just ok since customers sometimes think you aren't doing much.

    Advice to Management

The managers I had are no longer there. A bit high strung, but they did their best.

I worked at Pinkberry part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Strong emphasis on teamwork and customer satisfaction.

    Cons

Extremely boring, tedious work. You essentially follow a script when it comes to helping customers which makes for a work environment that loses it's edge after awhile

    Advice to Management

support your employees more. it seems like you're just waiting for slip-ups from employees with those secret shoppers.

I worked at Pinkberry part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Fast paced and never boring

Loved the people who worked there with me

    Dynamic team

    Good yoghurt

    Cons

Most of the experience depends upon the manager. The first manager was great and they were really kind, allowing us to be more relaxed and less worried. The second manager was horrible and they really brought the team spirit down with their negligence. Most of the people I know quit soon after.

    Pros

They promote people out of desperation

    Cons

Overworked and underpaid. Management is drunk at the wheel. Child labor violations and safety violations are everyday and common place

    Advice to Management

Treat your people better, actually allow room for growth.

    Pros

After my promotion I received good/decent pay. We split tips between shift leads and team members and could make bus fare, or lunch money, or even more. After a standard period of warming up to each other, employees usually ended up working well together and having a good time. We got to sample the flavors every time the changed and got a free one (or more) per shift. Also, got to take home pints of it on the nights the machines needed to be broken down and sanitized.

    Cons

Sometimes I felt as if they kind of through out into the wild with no survival skills because the training wasn't thorough. My first round of training was apparently not up to par, so I felt a little uncomfortable when two months in I was politely getting picked apart and told a whole new way of service and responsibility that my first manager and team didn't seem keen to pass on. There were plenty of shake-ups. Franchise ownership, then sold to corporate, then bought out by a company and eventually shut down on New Years day with no warning. Which understandably caused a walkout by the team members. I had three managers while I was there and two of them were exceptionally cool, younger guys who were really trying to make it work, but everything was so mismanaged, that I don't think they ever got it together. There are more cons to my location that I would list, but it was shut down and I feel they are inconsequential now.
