Pros

None, was a potential unicorn but it’s trailblazing days are long gone

Cons

Current executive leadership is worst in class across the industry and should be summarily fired by the Board of Directors. They have destroyed the culture, values and talent of the company during their tenure. A company with a 1,000 plus employees with 3 CEOs all based in London is an organizational joke, competing amongst themselves on who can be more arrogant, petty, and narcissistic. None of them has industry knowledge nor any interest in learning. They are an abject lesson in failing forward. These strange creatures of the start up world that manage to convince others that their lack of knowledge, skill, and talent is somehow the right recipe for being put at the helm of a company Voluntary attrition is the highest ever as the leadership doesn’t tolerate when truth is spoken to them. Packages are not competitive, salaries and benefits lag behind every other company in the industry and beyond lip service there’s no true appreciation of talent. This company is slowly circling the drain to its demise

Pros

You get a lot of different work experience because you're regularly asked to do the job of four+ people due to understaffing.

Cons

This company does not care about it's employees. Setting aside the complete lack of empathy and accommodation for our Ukrainian colleagues, the company frequently goes through lay offs which are announced in inappropriate ways. It's a game of who you know, not what you know, and your surest way to survive here is not by being good at your job, it's by blindly following the requests of upper management, regardless of morality, ethics, or their understanding of what you actually do. Upper management regularly complains about employee retention while continuing to offer poor benefits and incentives, and also requiring employees to continuously work well beyond their scope because of lack of staffing.

Thank you for review. We’re saddened to hear how you felt about your time with us. At WorldRemit we are a mission led, customer focused business, which means we do have to move quickly with our decisions, including our recent focus on sustainable business activities so we can serve customers more efficiently. For our colleagues in Ukraine we hosted a number of initiatives to support them during this incredibly difficult time. If there’s more you think we could have done then please do let us know at glassdoorfeedback@worldremit.com. We regret you left feeling that way, and wish you the best of luck.

Pros

WorldRemit's mission to support migrant populations is great. Most people working at the company are good, hard working, dedicated people.

Cons

The CEO is unapproachable and is a borderline bully. He has no idea what is going on in the business and makes knee-jerk decisions with no regard for downstream impact. HR is the worst! They have no idea how to be competitive as a business much less a FinTech. Turnover is high and for reasons that can be solved (mostly) but HR is unable to make the necessary changes that will improve retention. Many really great people have left because of the CEO and HR.
