#EmployeeSpotlight: Meet Angelica, a medical assistant. She has worked at PIH Health for more than three years, and currently serves as a preceptor at one of PIH Health’s Urgent Care Centers. Angelica knew she wanted to work in the medical field from a young age and recalls visiting PIH Health during “take your child to work” days with her mother, who worked for PIH Health for over 25 years. Watching her mother and other hospital employees care for patients firsthand ultimately fueled her desire to work in the healthcare industry. Angelica puts #PatientsFirst by finding ways to optimize office flow so that staff can focus their energy on providing excellent patient care. Her favorite thing about working at PIH Health is the comradery between the staff among all six urgent care locations. “It's great to know that no matter which site we are working at, everyone is there to work as a team and provide the best care possible for patients.” In her spare time, Angelica likes to spend time with her family, whether it’s attending her children’s sports games and school performances, or taking them to visit their favorite amusement parks.
