      Pros

Great benefits, good pay, coworkers were great, short work week as long as there wasn't overtime and opportunities to learn new things

      Cons

Managers change every few months and some made the job worse, long hours, mandatory overtime and favoritism

      Good for Growth and Learning

      Pros

Learned a ton coming right out of university. They throw you into the fire immediately and there's a ton of leadership visibility. Was promoted quickly and had several great and very supportive managers. RSUs can be very lucrative, but only if they were granted at low stock prices. Health insurance is very good and includes free premium One Medical membership.

      Cons

Incredibly demanding, intense hours, tons of office politics, too many layers, too many leaders to answer to, teams are structured too much like a matrix and not linear enough, no office perks (other than 1 free coffee per day), parking is $200/month, PTO is discouraged, 5 days in the office, lack of upwards mobility past L6, annual comp adjustments are very small (expect 0% to 2%), salaries are not competitive for tenured employees, frequent turnover on teams

      Pros

One of the standout aspects of working here is the sense of teamwork. Everyone is supportive, from the floor associates to the leadership team. Managers are always approachable and open to feedback, which creates a positive and inclusive atmosphere. They’re dedicated to making sure you’re trained well and have the tools you need to succeed. The technology used at Amazon’s fulfillment center is top-notch, and the automated systems make the workflow efficient and streamlined. I’ve learned a lot about logistics, inventory management, and how to navigate complex systems, which has been a great boost to my professional growth. Additionally, Amazon offers excellent benefits, including competitive pay, health insurance, and a variety of other perks like employee discounts. The work is physically demanding at times, but the pay and the opportunity for overtime make it worth it. There’s a clear path for career advancement as well. Many of my colleagues started in entry-level roles and have moved up to managerial positions. Amazon really invests in its employees and encourages personal and professional growth.

      Cons

While working at an Amazon fulfillment center offers many benefits, one challenge that cannot be overlooked is the physical demands of the job. The work requires long hours of standing, walking, and sometimes lifting heavy packages. It can be tough on the body, especially during peak seasons when the pace picks up significantly. That said, Amazon does offer opportunities for rest and encourages employees to take breaks, but it’s still important to be aware of the physical aspect of the role. If you’re someone who enjoys a more sedentary job or prefers less physical labor, this may not be the ideal fit.
