    Account Director Interview

    Anonymous Employee in Indianapolis, IN
    Accepted Offer
    Positive Experience
    Difficult Interview

    Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 6+ weeks. I interviewed at Appirio (Indianapolis, IN) in March 2016.

    Interview

The recruiting team was upfront from the beginning that this could be a long and tedious process. Their reasoning is to ensure that they are hiring associates for the long haul and that culturally it would be a strong fit for both parties which I strongly agree with. My interview process consisted of 5 video interviews and 3 individuals during my in-person interview. The recruiting team was also transparent during the interview process and willing to share feedback from the interviewers. All individuals I met with during the process was gracious with their time and made the interviews feel more like conversations. Overall it was a top notch experience and I couldn’t be more excited to join the team.

    Interview Questions

    • Questions ranged from being asked to talk through my professional work history to behavioral questions asking for examples on how I handled certain situations.   Answer Question

    Easy Interview

    Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Appirio in September 2016.

    Interview

Initial screen process with the recruiter(The recruiter was very intelligent in terms of clarifying all questions about the company)
After initial screen, I was assigned the technical exercise which was pretty straightforward to perform but still, time-consuming.
The second interview was the cultural one where they are trying to determine your fit into the company culture. After the cultural interview, I’ve raised a red flag. The interview was performed via Google Hangout and interviewer never showed his face, on the background, there was the constant noise of upset child, and the interviewer kept muting line after every sentence. Not good.
The third interview was a technical one, and also performed via Google Hangout. It was hard to understand what interviewer was saying, but he didn’t say too much.

    Business Analyst Interview

Anonymous Interview Candidate in Phoenix, AZ
    No Offer
    Neutral Experience
    Average Interview

    Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Appirio (Phoenix, AZ) in May 2016.

    Interview

Phone screen, and then a series of interviews conducted via Google Hangout. There is a culture interview that is mostly behavioral based to see how you might fit in at Appirio, and then you have to complete a technical exercise. From there, there is an interview to discuss how you went about completing the exercise.

After that, you have an interview with the hiring manager. It was at this part of the interview process where I was denied. The hiring manager didn't feel that I was a suitable candidate, even after having positive reviews from the first three interviews.

Overall seems to be a good company, and they really do appear to value company culture and their employees. It seemed the hiring manager had almost total control over the decision however.

    Difficult Interview

    Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 5+ weeks. I interviewed at Appirio (Indianapolis, IN).

    Interview

The process was long, and involved multiple interviews with departmental manager, and teammates. I have heard that some people had to interview up and down the food chain, which is really valuable to the candidate and Appirio, as each party gets/receives different perspectives.

    Interview Questions

    • I don't remember specifically, but it was mostly conversational. We just talked and got to know each other and that was a tremendous help to me deciding that I wanted to become an employee. I do remember that the typical strengths and weaknesses Q's were asked but in general it was conversational.   1 Answer

    Anonymous Employee

    Positive Experience
    Average Interview

    Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Appirio.

    Interview

Interviews consisted of several Google Hangouts, multiple in-person visits, several discussions around current work. The interview process was fast at only four weeks and resulted in an offer being made rather quickly once it was clear that we were both a good fit for each other.

The process contained a few group chats or "panels" as I sat with people on the team I would be joining and just had open discussions around the company, products, services, and other general technology topics.

I was comfortable during the entire process and felt the company really cared about culture.
