I applied online. I interviewed at IBM (Bengaluru)
Interview
In my past online interview experience with IBM, I took a HackerRank test that included two questions. The first question was a LeetCode-like problem focused on arrays, requiring strong problem-solving skills and a good understanding of data structures. The second question was an SQL query, which tested my ability to manipulate and retrieve data from databases efficiently.
The test had a 45-minute timer, making time management crucial. Additionally, the test was monitored via camera to ensure the integrity and authenticity of the test environment, adding an extra layer of pressure to perform without external help.
To prepare, I practiced similar coding problems and SQL queries, ensuring that I could solve them quickly and accurately. I also made sure my test environment was free of distractions to maintain focus throughout the duration of the test. This experience highlighted the importance of thorough preparation and the ability to perform under time constraints and monitoring conditions.
There was a single behavioral interview offered by a different department after applying to 2 different positions and doing Hackerranks for them. Basic questions about projects on your resume and experience and the recruiters were nice.
