I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Kroger (Lambertville, MI)
Interview
I applied online. Within a few days I was called for a phone interview. The person on the phone was very nice and asked which department I preferred to work in. They also asked basic questions. I was then called for an in-person interview at the store. They asked mostly situational/behavioral questions. They wrote down all of my answers on their predetermined questionnaire. Once I was offered the job, I came in for a drug test (oral mouth swab).

Question 1
Describe a time where you were spontaneous in the work place.
I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Kroger (Houston, TX)
Interview
Interview was straightforward. They told their expectations, their salary, asked how many hours willing to work etc. The interviewer was unexperienced as I can tell. This is an interview I joined because I just needed to pay my bills. They said they will get back to me in 2-3 days, however after 2 weeks there is still no answer.

Question 1
What was your last retail job? (Consider jobs less than 10 years ago)
I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Kroger (Toledo, OH) in Apr 2016
Interview
Low pressure. Basic questions about background, job experience, and attitude. Job description is given. There is some chit-chat about the specific store and when the busy seasons are. Offered job on the spot, drug test, some paperwork, and schedule orientation. It was very easy going. The asst. manager was nice, straight forward with her questions, and answered the questions I had. There were no curveball questions or questions that were really any kind of surprise. It was easy going but professional.
