A lot of scenario based questions and a technical take-home assignment. Big red flag was that they refused to disclose the salary even after asking twice, once in the initial interview and again in the final interview. I've also heard that Meltwater underpays so that's most likely why, but extremely shady to go through a 3 stage interview process while refusing to even disclose a salary range.

Question 1
Describe a challenging time in your life and how you overcame it
I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Meltwater (London, England) in Jan 2020
Interview
First round was phone interview with the HR for a brief understanding of the job and my expectations. Proceed to round 2 where a language test pack was sent via an email and I have to complete it within the stipulated time. The instruction was to translate as detailed as possible ( same as what was previously mention in the phone interview by the HR). However it is simply impossible to finish a full translation of 2 news articles each over 500 Chinese characters within the time limit. Was rejected because I did not finish translating both articles. They should not give misleading instructions to candidates, wasting their time to complete the assignment only to realise what they needed is just a summary??

Translate the news articles from chinese to english
2 interviews and 1 assignment before decision. The interviews were comfortable and laid back. A lot of scenario and character questions. Feedback on the assignment is given in the 2nd interview.
