There’s often a reason why a large company keeps reposting the same position. I encountered the most arrogant recruiter during my experience with Schneider. Ironically, the interview invitation stated, “no preparation required.” Regardless, I take every interview seriously and always prepare thoroughly, even if it’s just a phone screening.
During the conversation, the interviewer spent more time flaunting his knowledge in the field he was recruiting for and asked me to provide a detailed example in response to his question. The question was open-ended and poorly structured, but I responded with my analysis, including some industry standards. He simply shook his head repeatedly. I then asked for clarification and his perspective, only to be met with a dismissive attitude and an overly simplistic explanation that made the role seem like something a fifth grader could handle.
At the end of the interview, I asked two questions and was told to “just check Glassdoor” because of how “great” Schneider supposedly is. The lack of professionalism and insight was startling.
