I applied for the role and was contacted fairly quickly. I had an initial call with the hiring manager, which was very pleasant and professional. The conversation was engaging, and I was informed shortly after that I would be progressing to the second stage.
Unfortunately, after that confirmation, communication stopped completely. I followed up multiple times and received no response. I even reached out to the interviewer I was supposed to meet in the second round. She kindly responded and mentioned she would check internally on what happened, but after that, there was again no follow-up.
Eventually, I received an automated rejection email without any prior explanation or direct communication.
The initial interaction was positive, but the lack of transparency and follow-up after confirming progression to the next stage was disappointing. A simple update would have demonstrated more respect for candidates’ time and effort.
