Our client, a leading innovator in autonomous vehicle technology, is seeking a Software Engineer to join their dynamic team. As a Software Engineer, you will be part of the AI Triage & RCA team supporting manufacturing and testing workflows. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, adaptability, and a collaborative mindset, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Software Engineer, Python Full-Stack

Location: Foster City, CA

Pay Range: $69/hour + Benefits

What's the Job?

• Build and extend LLM-powered RCA and triage agents to diagnose manufacturing-line failures efficiently.
• Ship full-stack features end-to-end, including Python (FastAPI) services and web/UI components.
• Integrate manufacturing data sources such as issue data, diagnostics, FMEAs, wirelists, BOM, and Slack into the AI agents' context.
• Iterate on agent quality by designing prompts, evaluating outputs, and improving real-world accuracy with the team’s ML engineers.
• Move quickly within an existing codebase to deliver features aligned with the manufacturing roadmap, ensuring maintainable and tested code.

What's Needed?

• Proficiency in Python, with experience owning services, REST/FastAPI APIs, async jobs, and data pipelines.
• Full-stack capability to extend modern JavaScript front-end frameworks such as Vue or React.
• Experience developing LLM-powered features or agents, including prompt and tool design, structured outputs, and output evaluation.
• Ability to quickly ramp up on unfamiliar codebases and deliver results efficiently.
• Fluency in building and consuming REST APIs and integrating heterogeneous external data sources.
