I have been working at ComDoc full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

When I just started to work for ComDoc I was very sceptical and I must say I formed this untrusting opinion based on the reviews on glassdoor.
I worked here for some time now and I can honestly say that ComDoc is a GREAT place to work.
My manager is very supportive, understanding, patient and motivating. I love that here you can be creative and choose the way you want to work without someone watching over your shoulder. Everyone I met here are very accepting and friendly.. and most importantly I am actually, first time in my life, happy to go to work in the morning. What can be better?

    Cons

    Medical coverage could be better.

I have been working at ComDoc full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

If you put in the hours (60+ per week) you can make some good money. Plenty of resouces to help you suceed. Good Service Staff. Plenty of chances to move up in the company.

    Cons

Way too much time spent on reporting what you are doing, instead of just doing it. Management can be very "Jekel/Hyde" on a day to day basis, not knowing if you are going to be called on the carpet for having a bad day, or get some honest encouragement/support from leadership.

Also, Managers tend to prop up their own (ie. personal hires tend to get more leeway and advantages than those who were hired by others). The Branch i work at has a very clear "Favorites" team that seems to be exempt from many of the weekly expectations everyone else is held to.

Biggest issue tends to be the lack of a consistant messaging from Senior Leadership.

    Advice to Management

Realize that your direct reports are people too, who have lives outside of the office and may not be able to spend 2 to 3 hrs a night filling out Activity spreadsheets/company profiles/Proposals/Corporate Research so they can devote their entire work day for Field Work.

I have been working at ComDoc full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Relaxed work environment, family-type feel, incentives to do your best, periodic performance reviews, consistent company growth, decent job for young person or someone without a degree

    Cons

The raises are barely enough to keep up with inflation, the middle-management is not in tune with the lower-level employees, the distribution center is a corrupt system with top few taking advantage of power, many "innovations" are put forth just to receive the incentive so some processes put into place decrease efficiency

    Advice to Management

Provide more opportunities for advancement, monitor more closely what constitutes as an innovation, provide better facilities for employees, implement online bill-pay

I have been working at ComDoc full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Mileage reimbursement, Expensive insurance rates, you're on your own for motivation, so if you need a boss to compliment you this isn't your job. Occasional bonuses. Inexperienced management leave you on your own Schedule your own calls unless you have multiple escalations moved to you, then you have to put your schedule on hold to follow managers schedule.

    Cons

Puppet management (especially Service), managers step on anyone as needed to move ahead, "Yes men" to the front of the line. Bonuses are all subjective, work output and efficiency irrelevant if you're not a managers favorite. Used parts are the mainstay of repairs, typically have to order 3 to find a working 1. Hippocratic management in all departments, advocate being "ethical" unless it effects the company bottom line. Do not receive training on models you're given to work on.

    Advice to Management

Start over, Global Imaging has done nothing but diminish what rep you had. Low employees morale and no respect for service management the norm in Cols.

I have been working at ComDoc full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

The "Innovation and Distribution Center" treats its employees well:
    Advancement opportunities
    Constant lunches/treats
Auction at the end of the year (Disney vacations, living room sets, TVs, thousands and thousands of dollars worth of stuff given away)
    Tuition reimbursement
    Cleanest warehouse award
Management constantly asking for your opinion/advice by way of "innovations"

    Cons

Not in Green by their corporate office, and traffic is really bad leaving at 5PM.

    I worked at ComDoc full-time

    Pros

Sympathetic coworkers all in the same boat with you, looking for a new job. A small paycheck with increasingly larger insurance deductions and lessening coverage.

    Cons

No accountability in management, mandatory price increases annually that are undisclosed at contract signings, working on everything whether trained or not, using USED or GENERIC parts, manager releases personal information and is unaccountable, should have a welfare application included with job offer for service techs.

    Advice to Management

Open your eyes, Comdoc isn't a shell of what it once was when employee owned (GIS owned now, a Xerox company)

Great family friendly, helpful culture. Training is important and provided. Benefits available. Sales promotions are quarterly, monthly etc. great promos for sales reps. If you are looking for a company that will treat you like family, look no farther.

    Cons
