Pros

None that I can think of

Cons

1. Wages 2. You spend money up front and pre-training 3. Company Benefits 4. High turn over rate and Conclusion 1. You do not automatically start working for Cellular Sales. You are first employed through a Staffing Agency on a strict probationary period, making slightly above minimum wage. If you can survive the culture and make it out of the slightly above minimum wage, you are then placed on 100% commission. In most cases, you won't see your first commission check until your fourth month of employment. 2. The company does not provide uniforms. Instead, they have a strict dress code. The idea behind the strict dress code is to not offend anyone. You will have to invest in a Cellular Sales approved wardrobe to start training. Training is done on a regional base. You will be traveling at least 100 miles (or more) to the training location for seven days. Depending on your market, a hotel is the only expense paid by the Staffing Agency and you will be responsible for breakfast, lunch, dinner, drinks, and gas or car rental. Due to the strict dress code and the travel for training, you will have to invest $500 - $1,000 just to complete the first seven days for training. 3. The health insurance is not competitive, high premium and high deductible plans. The 401k is sadly not competitive. Because you are 100% commissioned no paid time off, no paid sick leave, or paid personal days off. 4. Turn over rate is high! 20% won't make it the first day of training. 60% won't make past the strict probationary period with the Staffing Agency. If you can make it out of the Staffing Agency and survive the culture. Your odds of completing 6 months of employment with Cellular Sales are 15%. And, 5% make it past 2 years. This is a cut-throat sales gig with lots of savages. You just have to ask yourself, is all this worth $35k/year?
