Pros

Good atmosphere within th company. Company is constantly on the rise looking at new technology. Has potential to become huge

Cons

Political. Unrealistic targets . Due to it being a privately held company there are a lot of shortcuts and unfair treatment of newer staff

Pros

-5% of staff were a pleasure to work with. -Close to several stations -Few Nice pubs nearby

Cons

Office -Equipment from the 70s - Internal furnishing dated and falling apart - Mice infested including droppings everywhere and even dead mice in the kitchen. - More wildlife in the office than under a log in Epping Forest Middle Management -Incompetent -Scared of MD -Just waiting to cash in on share options -disappearing from the office on 3 hour "lunch" is the normal - inability to accept any other viewpoint other than own institutionalized views - Child style management where they wont speak to you or acknowledge you if you challenge dated opinions - Do not manage teams well. CEO/MD -The odd father and Son he never had relationship causes all sorts of problems. -CEO brainwashed on how the company actually is - MD runs the company as if his is chairman Mao -MD Is perhaps the worst human being on the planet -MD used to often verbally insult team in front of the own office -Neither are the type of people you aspire to work for or inspire you to do a good job. Staff -There is a clique of a few long standing employees who im sure are treated very well and basically are the golden boys/girls. -Nepotism is rife - regardless if a good fit or not. - Some of the staff need a reality check - self entitlement is high. -The way some conduct themselves you would think they are head of sales at multinational. Not a 3rd rate ISP. - As mentioned in other posts bullying and generally treating people badly is the norm. - The staff turnover is insanely high Work -The work is like being a slave, no flexibility unless you are in the select - they think they can win anything - even 100 connectivity oppotunities to outer Mongolia - so you spend a lot of time wasted. - Ambulance chasing mentality -Month to month business model without any future site.

Avoid this company, blame culture and no strategy

Pros

Free coffee, some good friends made there - mostly through common wish to get out.

Cons

Management style is archaic, their experience is on the job, and wannabes reading self-help and sales books, growing up from a 10 man business over, 10 years to 450 people - their ego's are massive and it simply does not work for staff. Too much is wrong, new leadership is needed but that just will not happen - the business is in their ownership. The owners greed is evident, no investment in product or strategy, just focused on feet on street. Everyone is micro-managed – from monitoring door passes to monitoring when you are active on your laptop. It’s a toxic environment for all but a few ‘chosen’ people. No trust, no delegation, and no forward strategy. Most of their business is dependent on selling local access. Targets are high, costs are 'artificial', commissions are kept purposefully thin, unbundling BT exchanges was a model that works 8 years ago, times have moved on, they are desperate, and have a total 'scatter-gun' approach to product strategy, throw 3rd party products at sales some will stick. Most staff simply don’t last very long due to the blame culture, evident across the whole business. The Managers that have lasted scuttle around at the beckoned call of the MD, they’ll protect themselves rather than take any responsibility or fight your corner.
