I worked at FDM Group full-time for more than a year

    Pros

They did make sure you are on track with where you need to be. You'll meet great and fun people.

    Cons

    - Very low pay - Long contract of 2 years - Forced relocation - 30k bail out fee if you have to leave the company before 2 years - Training is useless since it's something you can do yourself if you have the syllabus. - Poor benefits (almost none)

    Advice to Management

Take off the contract and make it at-will employment. If not, then at least lower the bail out fee and make it prorated.

I have been working at FDM Group

    Pros

I've been working at FDM for a little over 3 months now. I am a trainee in the Java Development stream who is about to start my placement at Fannie Mae in Reston Virginia. I have a computer science background and received my placement 3 weeks into training, much faster than I anticipated. So far I have enjoyed my time with FDM immensely, and I truly mean it. I feel I've been given such an awesome opportunity, and...

    Cons

The pay isn't ideal, but in such a competitive job market it really is the experience that counts. It's a 2 year commitment at a salary that is less than most IT companies, but most new hires at FDM (including myself) are in their early 20's and 2 years is a minuscule amount of time in the grand scheme of an entire career. I can not reiterate enough that it is the experience and people that count, not the pay. For those...

    Advice to Management

Try to tone down the account managers a bit, what I mean by this is, don't let them be so forceful about trainees doing interviews for positions they don't want. Don't let trainees go on interviews for positions they don't even know the title of or is completely irrelevant to their career ambitions. I did an interview for a SQL Database related position, and I was under the impression that it was a Java position. That's...

I worked at FDM Group full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Plush facility in a High rise Wall Street Skyscraper with the emphasis on plush Easily Accessible by transit Extremely high placement rate

    Cons

The dynamic is that you get paid well below the curve for your respective position/stream and are trapped in a highly manipulative contract para dos anos. This is done in order for FDM to negotiate highly lucrative contracts for themselves with their clients in exchange for cheap workers (slave labor) maximizing their profit primarily at your expense. But their rate of placement is exceptional so you technically are...
