I have been working at Fujitsu full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Fujitsu FCPA was overall a great company to work for. They have a set number of dollars they can give you for a base salary but have other things to offer like car allowance. They want to make sure you feel well compensated for your role. They also provide a stipend for gym/club memberships which adds to your overall well being and helps decrease stress. I worked remote which is always a nice setup. I traveled extensively for my role, which came at no surprise since they were very transparent during the interview process.

    Cons

Being a remote employee I felt it was difficult to show my worth when I was not on a team that directly generated revenue or had a way to track ROI of our efforts. It was difficult to build internal relationship as we were very siloed. There also was no upward mobility due to the small size of the BU I worked in. Although if you may be interested in a career change they do encourage lateral changes so starting out in one role may lead you to a whole different role. Working at Fujitsu was a great opportunity to sharpen my people and account management skills as well as indirectly work in many different industries. If I could do it all again I would have taken more initiative to get on a call with my different colleagues, including my boss, one on one at least once a week to see how we can work together to advance internal initiatives. I would have also put more effort into changing their overall strategy for our team as It very clearly was not working.

    Advice to Management

The strategy of convincing potential partners to commit most of, if not all of, the resources to complete a project initiated by Fujitsu is going to slow the growth of the partner network rendering the partner network strategy ineffective. Owning the cost and resources for a project would allow you to onramp more partners. Then you can work with the partner marketing team to go to market transfering residual marketing costs to the new partner.

    I worked at Fujitsu full-time

    Pros

Great products, good documentation, and really good benefits. Peers are the best!

    Cons

Clueless strategy, inexperienced management, with beyond micromanagement technique. No respect for experience of staff, never present situation to staff for assistance in finding solutions. More red tape than the government. Read the job advertisement in various media and it will be obvious.

    Advice to Management

Get over yourselves. You have hundreds of man years of experience on staff and you don't use it. Instead, you always assume that yours is the only way.
You cannot succeed by bullying employees. A culture of fear will never work for long.
