    Pros

    Depending on who you work for, direct management.

    Cons

    Poor leadership choices (business decisions and people decisions), extreme sub par pay (less than half the median salary for a lot of positions)

    Advice to Management

    Learn to let your employees know they're more than placeholders until they're outsourced.

    Strive for close to median salary so you stop losing talent left and right.

    Don't make promises you can't keep. It's worrisome when an SVP accidently communicates to the entire company that practices are out of line with what was communicated to employees/outside of the business.

    The people who use to work there

    WIPRO - I am happy for the people who cleaned up monetarily with the sale of HPS to WIPRO, but I guess they forgot about all the little people. The hundreds of little people who HPS let down. WIPRO lied to the workers of HPS . We were told we were going to grow bigger and better and what happened? Carriers started leaving because of bad customer service, sales fell dramatically, customer service got outsourced and most of the employees were layed off and those that were left got moved to Lakeview forcing more people to choose how long of a drive they wanted for work. Then WIPRO teased everyone with pay raises. Yup, I got one. $0.20. That is what they felt I was worth. $0.20. Keep it! HPS was once a great company to work for. Now, it is just another company with soulless people there. Thank you WIPRO

    Advice to Management

    There is no management left. What advise can I give??? Get out while the life has not been sucked out of you.

    Pros

    CEO and Senior leadership cashed in and got rich on the sale to WIPRO and bailed on the hundreds of employees. Unfortunately, no other Pros coming out of HPS in the near future...................................

    Cons

    Not much left of what was a Tampa employer of choice and quality carriers got wind and are staying away from HPS.

    Advice to Management

    Be honest with your employees and don't over promise the bleak future of HPS. Hopefully you have an exit strategy or lots of cash from the sale to WIPRO.

    HPS taken over by WIPRO,based in Mumbai,India.
    They have taken over the entire company except call center ,because no one would understand a word that they say.

    Advice to Management

    Run not much time left for you!!!!!!

    They have a great corporate culture.

    They go purchased by an Indian outsourcer and all the technical jobs and many others are moving to India.

    Advice to Management

    When a company from overseas is offering to purchase your company and says no-one will lose their jobs, don't believe it.

    Pros

    There are no longer any pros. Previously, one could say there were good people to work with, but most of those people are gone.

    Cons

    HPS always had it's challenges, but you could still try to work hard and enjoy your co-workers. A lot of them were really good people. All of that changed when the company was purchased by Wipro, a company based in India. They came on-site and told the existing staff a pack of lies, because they did not want anyone to leave before they were ready to make the cuts themselves. They launched a large project designed to document processes under the guise of efficiency and streamlining. However, it was just a ploy to get the processes documented so they could lay off the American employees and outsource to their own people in India. The Wipro management is arrogant and incompetent, and they are unable to manage to complexities of the business at HPS. They are single-threaded thinkers who are currently running the company into the ground. The clients are all leaving, because they are tired of the poor service and do not want to do business with the new owners. Seems like the owners just wanted another foothold in the U.S., as they certainly do not want to make this company profitable. It's a shame for the longtime employees who really wanted to do the right thing.

    Advice to Management

    For the old HPS management - run away. It's just a matter of time until you are gone, as well. To the new owners - nothing to say - they already think they know it all.

    Pros

    I received a paycheck. And had some nice coworkers

    Cons

    Low pay rude unprofessional management and a stressful environment . They make you take calls from other carriers that you are not skilled to take. Training is not good and only a week long job is stressful with a high turn over rate. And all positions are temporary except for bilingual reps

    Advice to Management

    Better training and pay and clean house regarding management they are all pretty trashy and unprofessional
