Unbelievable Team Environment
Nov 21, 2022 - Senior Director EngineeringRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
I never expected working at a large company to be like this. EVERYONE is on the same team. No one is unapproachable. Everyone wants everyone to do well. I have felt supported since day one, and that includes both the support I need to do my job, as well as the support I need to grow. I've been to headquarters in San Jose, and it's such a great environment. The level of talent is impressive, and you can always find ways to challenge yourself. Everyone is encouraged to bring their ideas forth. I really love it.

Great place to work
May 8, 2023 - Compliance Operations KYC in San Antonio, TXRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
It's been refreshing working in this company and a 360° change from working at bank call center. Treatment from management is super awesome, they are always welcoming and open to help and support you. Teams are really supportive and actually feels like a team. The benefits are super at least for my use has great coverage for eye/dental/medical and they also have Lyra that is company covered for anything related to mental health and wellness that's been a huge help. Option to buy Company stock is awesome too.
Cons
There's not much frequent openings for new job positions and like many other companies there's a big demand for them when available. If you learn new skills they're not compensated when you're trained for it and start a new Q for example but will be review until end of the year for you pay to be adjusted according to your yearly evaluation. Way different that at other places I have worked when you are trained for a new skill you're going to to get an increase in your pay after a month doing you new skill and that is really frustrating to wait until the end of the year to prove your skill.

Strong and talented employees, incompetent leadership, poor WLB, 3 time zones!
May 3, 2023 - Director Level in San Jose, CARecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
- Good salary "IF" you don't think about how many hours you actually have to put into work per day (+10/12 hours per day) - Mostly talented and strong employees - Not too much office politics - Reasonably stable business model, it's not going to go big ever but it's not going to collapse either
Cons
- Poor Work Life Balance - No sick leave (seriously! 15 PTO per year is all you get for +11 hours of work per day so you better not get sick) - Short of staff everywhere, especially in tech part (eng and analytics), painfully lean and frugal - Very high burnout rate - Incompetent leadership - Incompetent HR - Too many reorgs, hectic and random planning - $/hour is actually low, you need to work 30-40% more than average in other descent eCommerce and IT companies - They pay you for 8 hours per day but in reality you have to work in 3 different time zones every single day (mornings starts with 6:30-7 am meetings with Europe, then meetings starts in the US/Canada and then meetings goes on with China and India until late night). - Layoffs all the time - Hectic and disorganized

eBay really took care of me while I was there with great insurance and many benefits including 6 months of paternity leave. The goodbye package was great too. Excellent engineers and no pointy haired bosses

Above average tech support job
May 14, 2023 - Managed Payments Teammate in Austin, TXRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Tech company so amazing health benefits, you can accrue PTO every pay period Higher pay if you work late shift/ weekends
Cons
Too many phone calls, and you are expected to both have high surveys and keep calls short (which doesnt allow you to build rapport with customers) Shifts, once you are given shift, you are pretty much stuck there Other departments (offshored jobs) dont tend to give customers accurate account information

Working here you have the support you need to be successful. The benefits, PTO and other perks are outstanding. There are many opportunities for career advancement if you put in the work.
Cons
Job can be stressful when there are irate customers or being met with resistance when trying to connect a customer to the right line of business.
