People Story - Bhuvan Naik | SAP Careers

I live and work in Walldorf, Germany, something I never imagined was possible as a child. I come from a small village in southern India, and was born into a family of nine children. Growing up with seven elder sisters and a younger brother, in a family with limited resources, it taught me to appreciate the little things in life.

I have been working at SAP full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Can be busy at times, like any job, but if you're an American who wants European work-life balance, SAP is the way to go. Remote work is common and encouraged, 2-3 days a week. No set hours. Set your own schedule. Very good healthcare benefits. Decent 401k, cash target bonuses are often exceeded based on company performance, and a very generous ESPP that is basically free money. They also promote from within.

McDermott is continuing to build upon a company culture that values its employees, and it shows.

    Cons

The company is a disorganized behemoth and can be difficult to navigate. Expect to spend days making simple decisions with people on the other side of the world. As a plus, you do get to work with people from all over the world.

    Interview

Had a wonderful recruiting experience from initial screening to onboard. The recruiter called me and asked initial questions about myself and my experience. About a week later I was interviewing with the hiring manager and VP. Offer was then made right away.
