I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Charles Schwab (Denver, CO) in Mar 2016
Interview
I had a phone screen. It was short. The lady called me at the wrong time, and we had to reschedule. They asked 4 questions. What is my last salary? What is my greatest accomplishment? Why do I want to work at Schwab? The whole call lasted about 10 minutes. They didn't ask me if I had questions for them.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Charles Schwab (Westlake, TX) in Feb 2025
Interview
There was an initial phone screening conducted by Talent Acquisition. Straight forward with some behavioral questions. Video interview with hiring manager. Good discussion. In-person interview with hiring manager and would-be peer. Questions for the in-person were not easy, but just because they were not really well formed and lacked a lot of context to answer. I have to think they were looking for how I deal with ambiguity. I also think that while I was answering a question for one interviewee (facing him while talking), I glanced back over at the other guy and I'm 99.9% sure he was trying to take a stealth picture or video of me. I thought that was just weird, and did creep me out a little.
