I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Jane Street
Interview
There was a phone call with the hiring manger who asked me about my experience. He then told me about the role he was hiring for and the team he was trying to assemble. He left room for my questions at the end.
The second round was a technical screen using Coderpad and was conducted via a phone call rather than a video call which I thought was an interesting choice. They also left room for questions I had at the end.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
The technical question used stacks and hash maps to implement a simple "board game."
The first interview was Leetcode coding interview. Medium level question. An interviewer kept adding more complexity by giving new scenarios.
Second interview was with Data Engineer. It was about cleaning given data using Pandas or SQL. Overall, good experience.
very fair, gave a data problem ten min before with a couple data sets you have to transform and analyze. want you to talk through process out loud, can use sql or pandas- your choice for first round.
First Round Pair coding interview.
Manage to code it out. Had a question to clarify the approach. Then I get rejected.
Two more rounds of coding and a super day
