I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Progressive Insurance (Los Angeles, CA) in Oct 2013
Interview
Submitted an application online and was sent an email a few days latter inviting me to take an online assessment. The assessment consisted of a few math and graph questions, along with several personality questions. The next day I received an email stating that I had indeed passed the test. 3/4 days later I got an email to schedule a phone interview. During the phone interview the HR representatives goes over a little about the job, she asks some clarifying questions about your education and work history, and then she proceeds to tell you that she/he is going to ask a series of questions that you are to answer is a specific format (situation, action, and remedy). I would research these types of questions. If you do well on the phone interview, as I had, you are offered a face-to-face interview with the hiring manager (I was offered a face-to-face at the end of my phone interview call. The situation will be different for some people). We set the interview up for the next day. In the face-to-face interview I was asked to talk a little about myself and my past work history. I was then some situational questions and then told that they would call me when they were finished interviewing. Had to do a background check that took 5 days. Got a call 8 days later and was offered the job. I start in two weeks!
