I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Progressive Insurance (El Paso, TX) in Oct 2021
Interview
Received pre-employment assessment the day after I applied. It consisted of math (a lot of percentages), personality questions, vocabulary, and 2 call simulations. Received email the next day that I was moving forward to the recorded interview which consisted of 8 targeted selection (behavioral-based) questions which I had 6 days to begin. I personally had never done these so I took a few days to research examples on YouTube and Glassdoor. You are given 3 minutes and 2 attempts for each question. The 2nd recording is the one they will use. The day after I submitted, I received an email to schedule a live interview. The lady was very nice. She asked about my experience, what I know about Progressive and the position I’m applying for, why I would be successful working from home, and 5 targeted selection questions which I feel I didn’t do so great on the last one. She explained that for this position there is a lot of flexibility. You can begin your shift anywhere from 2 hours before or after your start time as long as you do your 8 hours and complete your tasks. She explained the timeline of training if I’m hired which would consist of one week for self-paced claims adjuster licensing, 3 weeks of academy, and 6 weeks of on the job training. Your actual schedule doesn’t begin until after the 10 weeks are over. You must meet certain requirements during training to proceed. It’s been 3 days now and I’m still waiting to hear back. This job would meet the needs of my family financially and allow me to be present as well. I’m praying to God that I get it. I will be updating once I hear back.
