I applied through college or university. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Shell
Interview
Sat for an aptitude test first and in less than 1 week, got a call anf was told to come for a site test and interview. The site test was not really a test but more like a way for the trainers to observe how you behave throughout the site visit - e.g. did you listen to instructions etc. After the site test and refreshment, then the candidate will be called one by one (not in order) into another room for the interview.
a picture was given and you will be given time to study an anakyse the situation in the photo. next, just answer how would you tackle the situation if you are present in that kind of situation.
my only experience related to the scope that i applied was just starting up and shutting down both the distillation unit and LLE unit in the school pilot plant. my other working experiences were basically as laboratory technician. i was asked how i would be able to go through or get used to the situation working in the refinery, and shift works.
