The questions were quite straight forward. Some of the questions that were asked to me:
- Why TD? - Why did you decide to quit your last job? - Pros/Cons about yourself. -Questions about your education -How comfortable are you selling products to our clients? -What days I could work and if I was able to give 5 weeks to them for training (40h/week for 5 weeks).
Pros about TD:
- Great company and cares for their employees. -Great management team (most managers are very helpful and respectful towards the employees.) -As long as you are getting your numbers (which is quite easy), opportunities are there to move up. -Yearly bonus for all employees. -If you refer an employee, TD will pay you. -Free bank account for employees and also low interest/fee credit cards. -Paid vacation -Shift trading possibilities exist.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at TD (Markham, ON) in Mar 2024
Interview
he interview lasted nearly an hour and covered a broad range of topics. It began with behavioral questions, where I was asked to discuss my past experiences, problem-solving skills, and how I handle challenges in the workplace. This portion allowed me to demonstrate my interpersonal abilities and decision-making processes. Afterward, the focus shifted to a language assessment, where I was tested on my proficiency in both Mandarin and Cantonese. The assessment evaluated my fluency, comprehension, and ability to communicate effectively in different scenarios, highlighting my bilingual skills.
Thorough questions about how to apply previous experiences into the current job. Friendly interviewer. It lasted around half an hour, it was a virtual interview. Afterwards there was a phone language test as I was bilingual.
