I applied through other source. The process took 6 months. I interviewed at US Postal Service (Dublin, VA)
Interview
I had to sign up for and take a Civil service exam. Four months later I was invited to a Group interview. They did Extensive background checks and a physical exam with drug screening.. It takes a lot of time to go through everything, several months. It can take longer depending on the area that you wish to work in.

No interview. Received an email with a job offer and orientation was scheduled a few weeks later. Called the postmaster on the job listing to get more information in between the offer and orientation.

I applied online. I interviewed at US Postal Service (Spokane, WA)

There was no interview. I pretty much just took a test and they sent me back a conditional offer. When I got to my orientation with 3 other people they all had the same experience.
