How do you approach to converting desktop design to mobile design?

1 Answers

Since this is an established product, first make sure your customers want it on mobile - if so... Analyze the current product and reduce it's functionality down to a MVP (Minimum Viable Product) model. Based on the MVP you've created, design user flow diagrams that take into consideration user tasks/goals, user's cognitive load and environmental factors, and be considerate of the reduced display sizes, Next, create storyboards to confirm that you have a functional implementation based on your technology stack. Then, create low fidelity prototypes for testing with your target audience. If you identify issues then address the pain points, ideate and implement solutions, and then re-test for validation. Keep this up till you've got a product that tests well with your customers. Once you have a proven prototype, send it on to Development. Less
