Job purpose

Responsible for designing, coding and modifying the Kage Innovation Website for fit and function. Responsible for customizations to our ERP software that will help streamline our workflows. Responsible for customizations to our document management software that will help streamline our workflows. Integration between and across these platforms using built-in methods as well as custom coding methods. Responsible for the companies’ software platforms company wide.

Duties and responsibilities

• Analyze and prioritize software needs of the user
• Design, test and develop the software to meet those needs
• Recommend upgrades for existing systems and programs
• Develop separate elements of a software that work well in the program as a whole
• Create various diagrams, flowcharts and models that illustrate the type of code needed for programmers
• Ensure continued functionality of a program during maintenance and testing of software
• Document each aspect of a system or application as a reference for future upgrades and maintenance
• Revisit the development process to fix bugs or address client or consumer concerns
• Maintain IT security.
• Meet with Leadership weekly about customization schedule.
• Assist with immediate IT Network/Systems and hardware needs.
• Implement customizations on a test platform prior to live implementation.
• Write manuals for each customization. Include notes about issues that were addressed, and the logic that was written.

Train staff on each customization.

• Communicate project progress thoroughly and effectively.
• Administer the software that the company uses to perform its day-to-day operations. This includes administering users, permissions, and general software setup and workflow implementation.
• Suggest improvements that can be made to the software or workflow of the management team.
• Suggest improvements that can be made to the company’s website that will enhance customer experience and overall increase sales flow through our website.
• Assist management access and organize company data.
• Support admin staff have questions about our software platforms.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering or related field
• Expert understanding of: JavaScript, HTML, CSS, VBScript, C++.
• Skilled in design, testing and maintaining softwares.
• Knowledge and experience with Git, Linux, other frameworks.
• Advanced skills in data structure and scalable algorithms.
• Ability to pivot quickly and learn new technologies quickly
• Basic understanding of IT Systems/Networking and hardware.
• Expert level problem-solving skills

Working conditions

Pay: $80,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
