I have been working at Aramark full-time

    Pros

I enjoy my coworkers as they are my second family and some opportunities for overtime pay

    Cons

the pay is low for all that they expect from a supervisor- training is "better figure it out or quit'' meaning there is little to no training on your job so best of luck! Im looking for a new job

    Advice to Management

Work on training your staff! Dont just toss them into roles and have a sink or swim mentality towards it

I worked at Aramark part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

I liked the people I worked with, and it was great to know we were part of a large network. Being so helped with setting goals and having identifiable expectations and goals of certain standards.

    Cons

Although the company says that it values its frontline employees, their actions said otherwise. My property had been acquired, but Aramark wasn't proactive about the operational considerations of the acquisition process. This meant that there were many gaps between ideals and realities. I worked at the front desk, and despite saying that they would provide us with the proper resources, there were multiple times where we had to make our own envelopes, because they couldn't get us the right ones. Additionally, there were broken air conditioners in some of our rooms, and instead of replacing or fixing them, we often sold them, even when we knew that the guests would be upset if they broke down or weren't working. This often came down on us at the front desk, because when guests weren't (understandably) happy, they were angry with us. Another aspect of this was that our managers seemed to be under a lot of pressure to immediately cut costs. This was especially evident to me when a manager asked me to edit my time card so that it would not account for my overtime. Outside of that property, the company was less organized than I expected. There were many times where trying to find certain information or certain resources felt less intuitive or easy than it could have been.

    Advice to Management

Ensure that the details of your employees' daily jobs are considered.
