    Pros

    Benefits are good. PTO is accrued every pay as well as sick time. remote positions are available for certain jobs. Flex schedule is great. 5 years and you are 100 percent vested. decent 401k match. i have great co workers in my department but mgmt is another issue. i like my job and what i do overall, but direct mgmt is a issue.

    MICROMANAGEMENT AT ITS FINEST!!! communication is very poor with mgmt. favoritism is played, no room for growth within the company, those who work hard get no appreciation from their managers and those who slack off get no consequences so it doesn't pay to strive to do better. team meetings rarely happen. raises i hear are horrible. high out of pocket health cost unless you use a CHS facility. TOO MUCH MICROMANAGEMENT. TOO MANY CHIEFS AND NOT ENOUGH INDIANS.

    Advice to Management

    listen to your employees concerns, promote from within first, give raises to those who deserve a raise and not to those who dont. have mgrs respond to emails timely, listen to your floor staff more and take what they are telling you serious if you want the company to have less employee overturn and employees care about what they do for you. show some appreciation to your employees from their managers. stop all the MICROMANAGEMENT!!!!

    Pros

    The hospital itself was a great place to work before this administration took over. When this administration leaves, I would come back. Many employees have said that!

    Cons

    Management, at least at the hospital I work at is horrible. Our CEO has let our CNO run off very experienced nurses and nurse managers with 15 to 20 years of experience. Even the doctors don’t like her. Plus, we have a CEO that surly knows the situation, but won’t do anything about it. This CNO creates a hostile work environment for all employees at this facility.

    Advice to Management

    My advice is to corporate. If you see one of your hospitals having a high turn over rate with employees you should check that out. One, you are losing experienced nurses which effects the quality of care the hospital provides. Secondly, look at all the money you have to spend recruiting new staff! If I were in corporate, I would send a nurse in under cover to see what is really going on and report back to me, because when admin knows you are coming of course they are going to do everything right! This is in Gaffney SC anyway. Different hospitals may very.

    Poor management and discrimination against employees who utilize FMLA.

    Advice to Management

    Value your employees and realize that most of them are a major asset to the company. Especially the employees who have worked there the longest.

    Fast paced. Lots of projects. Great perks from hotel, rental and flights loyalty programs due to frequent travels. Open door policy to certain top executives.

    Cons

    Inadequate training opportunities. Poor managerial style . Pay

    Advice to Management

    Improve employee engagement and morale. Competitive pay structure. Increase diversity in the upper management.

    CHS specialized in small community hospitals and puts money into the facilities

    Cons

    CHS acquired a 400+ bed facility and it was too big for them to handle
