Pros

Stock benefits are good, but it vests over 3 years, so keep that in mind. Qualcomm as a brand is big on your resume.

Cons

The local management is excellent at trying to trick employees into thinking they are compensated well and learning a lot. Also they are not transparent. No learning. Almost everything you do in Qualcomm Singapore is re-use from Qualcomm US. As such, there is no skill you are picking up. You will be in difficult situation with a lack of skills to move around, and suddenly in a position where there is too much to learn in too little time. There is too much work, and the compensation is does not match that. Also, doing so much work, you will never have personal time to develop skills. And you are not going to develop any skills at work either. There are tools that are used (not developed by you), tests that are run (not developed by you), and data that is collected and shared to other teams (not analyzed by you). Overall, if you are looking to learn, this is NOT the place to be. Skills are very important, so dont expect to pick any here. Last but not least, people tend not to share things with you, and that hinders progress. Not a collaborative environment, within teams. Across teams, it is collaborative, because the company cannot function otherwise.

Pros

Great benefits, the pay is like okay. Some cool reimbursement programs and health centers on campus

Cons

Career progression and culture varies extremely depending on department. Some parts almost set you up for failure and it's difficult to gain new skills. Lots of qualcomm teams are too scared to explore new technologies and migrate to state of the art services and are comfortable in sticking with old technology for familiarity. Also, HR does nothing if a coworker makes you uncomfortable.
