I have been working at VCE full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great teams, fast growing company that does not seem to be going anywhere.

    Cons

Parent company changes can be frustrating from a brand perspective

    Advice to Management

Don't loose site of what made VCE great

I worked at VCE (More than a year)

    Pros

There were really no good reasons to work there except the paycheck. I made some wonderful friends on the team, However management is lacking and abuses their power. There is no such thing as HR as they're there for management only so there's no sense in requesting assistance in any way from them. They have no skills and clearly need to take some classes in management and people skills.

    Cons

The company definitely hides behind big words and all kinds of "Investments" but also let's a lot of people go based on not having money. One day somebody works there the next day they're fired.

    Advice to Management

Trade out your management for those who actually know what management is and understand what their job entails.

    I worked at VCE full-time

    Pros

Technical advancement in career, up to date in tools and advancements. excellent career growth, good pay.

    Cons

Should get more input from employees about ideas in implementing solutions rather than depending on higher teams.

    Advice to Management

Although not related to vce but related to parent company...internal transfer should not have one year limitation as you may never know when a particular employee leave company due to this limitation.

I have been working at VCE full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Good teamwork among most nurses

    Cons

Work overload for nurses. Too many additional tasks as assigned. With a nursing shortage, these additional duties reduce focus on care of patients.

    Advice to Management

Remove the hiring freeze. With additional staff in all departments, optimal outcomes for total patient care and satisfaction becomes a stronger possibility.

I worked at VCE (More than 3 years)

    Pros

I worked with a number of wonderful people at VCE. I was lucky to work there. I learned a TON.

    Cons

The downside was that my contract was over and that I had to leave.

    Advice to Management

Hire good people. Focus on productivity vs politics.

I worked at VCE full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Fulfilling job when you are able to perform it.

    Cons

Management changed late 2016 at Wesley Chapel facility and it has been downhill since. Discrimination against miniorties and homosexuals. CEO advancing her friends and has her clique. Forcing people to resign and intimidating people to keep silent . Has had terrible reviews on military program and have had multiple issues within the program and facility itself. Main focus of CEO is to get as many days out of insurance as possible and discharge people as soon as possible when insurance stops paying. Will discharge people to the streets/Salvation Army. Run the other way do NOT apply. Turn over is horrible!

    Advice to Management

    New CEO and management team

    Pros

There are some great people working here. Very helpful and knowledgeable about payers and trouble shooting. Learned a lot from several people.

    Cons

Absolutely everything. There are no policies or procedures to complete anything. The billing and financials are a nightmare. The CFO is in a daze of confusion and misunderstanding. No understanding that this is a publicly traded company. Change by the minute and nothing is ever finished causing drama and made up emergencies. The heat is on from corporate to correct the situation but local mismanagement keeps from moving the organization forward. This is now causing bad relationships with various insurance companies and providers. The software that is being used is 25+ years old. Stay away.

    Advice to Management

To the local CFO. Go work somewhere else.

I have been working at VCE part-time

    Pros

The mental health consumers we help are very nice and appreciative

    Cons

Heavy emphasis on billing, at the expense of services to clients and support for staff. Overworked staff. High turnover. Unpleasant physical environment (noisy, smells of cigarette smoke, very run down building)

    Advice to Management

High level management should visit and see the many obvious problems and how they actually limit profits because they prevent clients from being served
