I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at General Dynamics Information Technology
I did one voice only Teams call that lasted 30 minutes. I was not asked any technical questions at all. It was basically me and two other guys talking about our lives. At the end I was provided a verbal offer on the call. It’s pretty clear they’re just looking for warm bodies to fill government contracts for billable hours. I took the role and continued to work my original job for a few months as they said the onboarding process would be slow. Helped me pay off the car faster than anticipated.
- Legit we just talked about sports and weather. They asked if I knew some technologies I had listed in my resume and I said yes. That was the end of the technical process.

I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at General Dynamics Information Technology in Nov 2023
I have interviewed for 3-4 positions with GDIT over the last roughly ten years or so, and each time, there have been strange aspects that seemed kind of deceptive. For the most recent position, the first interview went great, and a second interview was scheduled. When the second interview started, about four minutes into the interview, they cancelled it(yes, in the middle of an active interview), saying that they were having technical issues and they'd reschedule. About a week later, someone involved with the process reached out to me individually, and said they didn't know why GDIT hadn't rescheduled a new interview, but that this person thought it was odd, and hadn't seen anything like that before. Another week and a half later they did call to reschedule a third interview. At this point it had been about three weeks since the first interview. I'm an experienced interviewer, and the third interview seemed to go well, but they relisted the position. I'm not inclined to pursue positions with GDIT, because at the very least it seems like they don't respect my time when scheduling interviews. I am qualified and have a good record, and do tend to get most positions that I apply for with other companies. I don't know if GDIT just doesn't like some aspect of me(which would be their right), but they keep running me through sessions where I get three interviews, always spaced very far apart on the calendar, and then never choosing me and never reaching out or giving a reason why I'm not chosen.

The interview process consisted of two interviews. One was for general fit and leadership assessment and the other was for technical aptitude. Overall I'd rate them as easy, but in the mainframe business, as probably most others, there are a lot of contextual vocabulary which informs whether you know what you are talking about.

Questions about experience & work situations also they asked how many years of related work experience I had, interview went well & you do need to be prepared in order to understand the questions .
- How would you deal with a certain situation

Group format, each person asked a series of questions based on the position. Majority of questions were more scenario rather than specific question and answer. The interview was very comfortable, if a question answered incorrectly they would guide to the correct answer or move on.
- How would you approach a situation given a list of tasks but little guidance.

I completed an inperson interview with GDIT. They asked questions about projects on my resume. I heard back a week later with an offer, after GDIT refused to raise the 62k/year offer I declined.

I applied in-person. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at General Dynamics Information Technology in Oct 2023

I just had an offer rescinded despite being given a verbal offer and congratulations last week. I was told that the client didn't think I had the right experience, despite the hiring managers at GDIT thinking I did. I was told that the hiring managers "fought to get me approved" but that they were "at the mercy of the client". This condition wasn't made clear to me at any point in the interview process (they just said I would have to pass the client's background investigation, which one would typically NOT interpret as a separate resume/experience screening, as GDIT is the hiring company), and it just goes to show that nothing is certain until you sign an actual employment agreement. I also had to chase the recruiter down since he told me that it would take a couple of days to get the paperwork over to me, but after a week I heard nothing. Overall, this was a very unprofessional and negative experience, and despite being a leader in my industry of choice, I would not apply to GDIT again.
- Tell me about a time that you had to manage multiple release schedules at the same time. How did you go about it?
