I applied online. I interviewed at Planet Fitness (New Haven, CT) in Jan 2017
Interview
Phone interview first with the manager or assistant manager of the store, and then if you pass that Phone interview you will then get scheduled for an in person interview where they ask pretty much the same questions but more focused on availability.
I had a two person interview with a manager and another upper level employee. The questions were relevant and they were very willing to answer any questions I had. I personally don't mind having more than one person interview me for accuracy and oversight, however I can see how that might overwhelm or intimidate another person.
The process was quite Simple and Easygoing. They asked about average and expected interview questions. Nothing too crazy. People were very friendly. Chill environment. Manger made a job offer on the spot. You can choose to accept or decline.
I interviewed at Planet Fitness (Merrick, NY) in Apr 2024
Interview
Simple laid back. Asked about work history and background. Specific hours. Asked if comfortable standing most of the shift. Frequent cleaning. Very nice manager. I feel that younger people tend to get hired more. Pay is not that great.
