Pros

Gartner is a place that rewards intellectual horsepower. They do a pretty good job of taking care of employees (pay/benefits), and allow a good amount of flexibility in work location/hours, etc. There is no question you are working with some of the best and the brightest in the industry.

Cons

A very political environment. More so than anyplace else I've ever been it's all about who you know. Not what you know or what you can do. Very siloed which led to poor communication and not much of a team atmosphere within the company. It's also a very slow moving culture. Plans are difficult to get implemented and decisions are slow in coming.

Pros

Being a globally recognized company makes it easy to consistently engage clients. Great benefits. Amazing people (managers and colleagues) For the most part there is a clear path to success and promotions. Executives listen to feedback after every internal call to help guide strategy.

Cons

In office mandate increasing in office days from once a month to once a week. Need to live in Florida or Texas because of the in office mandate. Promotions take a while since there are many people going for the same roles. Hard to reach clients and constant territory’s shifting makes it difficult to achieve the numbers you and management expect.
