I was contacted on LinkedIn by a hiring manager from CGI and asked if I would like to learn more about the opportunity, I accepted.
We had a phone interview to get to know me a little bit and to talk about CGI and what they have to offer. This was really basic and the typical "are you a good fit" kind of interview. I was then booked for an in person interview at our local office (Fredericton, NB).
For the in person interview I met with the Director of Consulting, he was incredibly open and approachable. All around a really great interview process, didn't try to trip me up on questions and was understanding about my lack of experience. He told me if I had any questions to email him after the interview which I took advantage of and received the most thorough response to an email I've ever gotten in my life.
Overall the interactions that I had with the few people who I met at CGI were all very pleasant. They seem like a really great bunch of people and it seems like a great place to work. The interview process wasn't difficult, but I accept that I didn't do well in it as I was incredibly nervous but in retrospect, this isn't a difficult interview. Just breathe, be confident in your experience, and don't wait for them to try to trip you up, because they won't!
