I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Chipotle (Clovis, CA) in Aug 2012
Interview
I applied online because I saw that they were hiring. After about a week of not hearing anything from them i called and asked to speak with the manager to check on the status of my application. We set up an interview for almost a week later. The interview was supposed to be with the manager but she booked the interview too early so they were still busy with the lunch rush. I got there 15 minutes early, another girl was already getting interviewed. Then an assistant manager(I think) came and introduced themself. Very easy and laid back interview. She told me to call back in a few days to schedule a second interview, however the very next day I got an email saying, basically, thanks but no thanks.
Easy, straight forward questions. Started as a group interview and ended up being offered the job along with 2 other people. It was very casual and no pressure. Interviewer was friendly.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Explain a time when you handled an upset customer?
Asked questions about what positions work best for you, why you want to work there, what makes you a good fit there, where you see yourself in 5 years. Very simple and open to answer any questions I had
I applied online. I interviewed at Chipotle (Los Angeles, CA) in May 2026
Interview
Very brief, was only asked a few questions. I felt a decision about not hiring me was made before the interviewer even sat down. I suspect the interviewer was not accustomed to interviewing and may actually only standing in for a manager that was not working that day
