The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Cracker Barrel (Chattanooga, TN) in Mar 2010
Interview
I was interviewed three separate occasions by three separate individuals for the job. Each interview was a day or so after the previous. The questions were typical interview questions, such as "what will you bring to the company?"

Question 1
An unexpected question was almost a role-play type instance regarding how I would react to a given situation.
The interview was easy. They know most of these servers are just starting out. But they want you to know how to upsell, and how to work in a fast pace environment.
I applied online. I interviewed at Cracker Barrel (Shrewsbury, PA) in Nov 2025
Interview
It went pretty well, just asked the norm, such as tell me a little about yourself and why do you want to work here. Just asked simple questions and told me I had the job and what day to come in next. I applied to be a server and they told me I would get 25 hours a week, but they ended up making me a to-go specialist and I’m getting like 6 hours a week. I also didn’t get scheduled for a month after my interview but I’m working a bit now.

Give me a situation with a difficult customer and how you handled it
Very easy, seems like they were looking for a pulse. Mine was done at the checkerboard in the dining room. not a difficult job, so not a difficult interview. I don't remember any specific questions
