I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at GEICO (Lakeland, FL) in Oct 2018
Interview
Before I write my review, let me give you a little detail about my background. I have approximately 12 years of call center experience some of which where I was a Team Leader. I also have held positions as a Claims Adjuster and an Underwriter just to name a few. With that being said, the testing portion for this position is ASSININE! It is not an accurate reflection on how well someone can perform THIS particular function and should not be the sole reason for dismissing an applicant. There are 2 parts to this test; a typing and a multi tasking test. The multi tasking test is a bit confusing and by the time you catch on the test is over. The typing is pretty basic. I did not pass the multi tasking portion and was told I can reapply in 6 months and MOST people passed the 2nd time because they know what to expect. 1st of that is a RED FLAG to me, obviously it's your process. Although I personally think I am over qualified for the position, I applied to get my foot in the door and move up in the company. It is a great company and very financially stable so it would be a great place to have a career.
There are two rounds. The first round is virtual and they ask about your background and if you can handle the process. For the second-round, You will shadow someone for 20 minutes then proceed for a 40 minute interview. There are a lot of situational questions.
I applied online. I interviewed at GEICO in May 2026

You first fill out an assessment test. The assessment test isn't difficult; there are a few parts to it. First is the reading tables section. It asks you a question about the table and based on that you pick one of the four answers. This part is timed so you want to pace yourself a little bit. The other part is picking the statement that describes you the best, then the second-best statement out of three statements. Overall, this did not take long.
