Pros
There are so many great things about working for Bread Financial, but number one is definitely the amount of opportunities we have for growth. We have open positions accessible to us at the click of a button and are encouraged to create a development plan to get us wherever we want to grow within the company. Our benefits are amazing. Bread Financial feels like a family, not a job. The compensation is wonderful and we get all of this while working from home. You can't beat it.
Cons
I haven't experienced anything I would consider a "con". There are hard days, just like any other job, but the support you get from your supervisors and your peers combats that.

Yikes, we are sorry to hear that you don't like the performance metrics and don't feel recognized for your contributions and the efforts you're putting in. We recognized that sometimes the work of leaving 100 voicemails can be grueling, but it's still important to our collections efforts. We highly value our Collectors and know the work you do can be very challenging. We do take your feedback seriously and will share this with our leadership team. We are glad to see that you enjoy having a flexible schedule and paid time off.

Pros
Overall, my experience at Bread Financial was a positive one. For the following reasons I stayed for over 3 years and only left when I was handed an opportunity by a close friend that I would have been a fool to pass up: Management actually cares about their employees and treats everyone like a human being worthy of respect (it sounds like a small thing, but it makes a huge difference). The pay was great and raises more than kept up with the rate of inflation every year. My team was exceptional. I loved working with them and being surrounded by so many competent, intelligent people made me excited to work as part of a team. I experienced few interactions with customers that were anything less than pleasant. Most customers were incredibly polite, and any time I did have to deal with a rude customer I felt empowered to step away from the conversation at any point if they crossed a line.
Cons
There were few, if any, cons to working for this company. Like I said I only left because I was handed a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity and even the managers I didn’t have constant and direct contact with during my time there were happy for me.

Pros
Bread is a good company that cares about your development. Coworkers are great and management is great. Pay is decent for the position.
Cons
Supervisors are overworked and have no work life balance. They offer unlimited PTO but the workload is unrealistic.

Pros
BF values excellence, integrity, and accountability.
Cons
You can’t fake it here.

Thanks for this very balanced review! We absolutely agree with you that we seek out talent who shares our values -- to be real, be courageous, be nimble, be dependable, and be kind and pay it forward. We're always looking for smart, hardworking individuals who are willing to learn and improve. Those who are successful tend to be flexible and adaptable in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment. We are about to begin our mid-year review process and we do a formal end of year performance review, but timely, constructive feedback should happen regularly and as needed during one-on-one meetings with your leader. Thank you for your contributions and for sharing this review!

Pros
Management puts a huge emphasis on culture and on employee well-being. It’s not the kind of company where they just burn and churn through employees and try to get as much out of them as possible. Having worked there for almost half a decade I feel fairly confident in saying that not only myself, but everyone I worked with felt appreciated and valued every single day. Maybe not all day, every day. But without a doubt, every single day.
Cons
Things move at a lightning pace and you need to be able to keep up. Once my wife had a kid I knew I was going to need a slower pace to be the partner to her that I wanted to be, and that’s the only reason I left.

No clue at all what they were doing. They changed the name of the company 3 times while I was there. No guidance, moved between managers

My manager has had my back since the day I started at the company and I’ve only felt more and more supported since.

Thank you for this review! It is really wonderful to see that associates can truthfully say that their manager has had their back since the beginning and the trust has only grown from there! That makes a huge difference to employee satisfaction with their work and their leadership/teammates. We are always looking for candidates who share our values -- to be real, courageous, nimble, dependable, and ultimately to be kind to others. We hire professionals who are smart, hardworking, and willing to learn and improve. We need people who have the ability to be flexible and who can adapt in quickly a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
