      Pros

This is great as a step down if you are coming from big 4 and want a easier busy season. Additionally, firm buy business never "grows it"

      Cons

old school management they give out "homework" I was the black sheep and treated poorly by management. Was added to a team meeting only to be scolded and embarrassed by senior members of partners, managers, and directors. I

      Pros

Benefits are great Pay for the chosen stars is incredible Get in with the right people and you’ll have a job for LIFE

      Cons

Shady partners hide among the sane few. Many have made their way to partner and have stopped working and started barking. They eliminated a great bonus program a few years ago so retention from peanut bonuses is an absurd assumption.

      Do not apply here!!!

      Apr 16, 2021 - Consultant

      Pros

This is a very chill and laid-back company with very few busy weeks, probably because they do not win a lot of work and there is little to do. If you want to go somewhere and do nothing most of the time then apply here.

      Cons

Stay away and do not apply here!!!! This is not a consulting firm; it is a glorified staffing firm. They pretend to be very ambitious and claim amazing growth but once you get hired you only get placed on staff augmentation projects. Which means you are a client employee with DHG benefits. Everyone here is underpaid and some people get promoted from Manager to Partner in 2 years while some people stay at one level for 6 years. I was completely misled the whole time at DHG, this is a sinking ship and almost everyone I have met here has left the company. They overreacted to Covid and furloughed 20 percent of the company while slashing benefits and pay for people they did not furlough. They tried to crawl their way back into peoples’ good graces by giving random, insultingly low bonuses to keep people from leaving. The result was that most of the intelligent, talented people left the firm to make significantly more anywhere else and now they do not have enough people to staff on their mindless staff augmentation projects. HR is shady, management blows smoke up peoples'….., and leadership randomly promotes who they like. They will probably drop out of the top 20 accounting firms soon.

      Great for a Public Firm

      May 24, 2021 - Audit Associate in Winston-Salem, NC

      Business Outlook

      Pros

Management seems to really care about its employees, which I did not find at Big 4 whatsoever. Busy season also is much more reasonable at 55-60 hours a week with 65-70 in a crunch. Taking time off did not feel like I was pulling teeth, either.

      Cons

Busy season is still pretty miserable, and the smaller firm size means a reassignment could lengthen your busy season by up to a month in some cases.
