I worked at Invensys full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

As a global leader of controls and automation solutions, Schneider Electric's Process Automation (formerly Invensys) division has the largest portfolio of products on the market--by a large margin--over competitors like ABB, Siemens, GE, and Rockwell.

    Cons

Since their acquisition by Schneider Electric, Invensys management has been systematically eliminating non-Invensys customer facing resources through political manipulation and intentionally inflicted organizational chaos. The ways in which these resources have been terminated have resulted in a large volume of customer frustration and disappointment with the Schneider Electric brand, and an increased awareness in the industry of the unethical ways that many of these resources have been let go. Discrimination of all sorts has been observed and recorded in these exit interviews and it is not a good sign for the Process Automation (Invensys) division of Schneider Electric.

    Advice to Management

You have a cultural corruption problem that won't go away with additional acquisitions, including any desire you might have to purchase GE or other Process Automation provider. You need to hire an external consultant to surgically remove the bad actors you have acquired before they destroy your business further.

    Pros

Good local people at the production facility.

    Cons

It was a corporation in every sense of the word. Rules were made hundreds of miles away without regard to local culture or impact.

I worked at Invensys full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Invensys was a great place to work. It had great people, great technology, and long-term employees. It is now Schneider Electric and the strength of the legacy company continues while now being part of a larger company with stronger market reputation and one that invests in innovation, as well as it's own people.

    Cons

The company was acquired by Schneider Electric in Jan 2014 and is now SE. The company is still solid but just much bigger now.

    Advice to Management

As the company was acquired there is no advice to give to the previous management.

    Pros

Good and impressive management but lacked structure and relevant projects. pay was also solid. Ability to grow into full time role would have been cool.

Good and impressive management but lacked structure and relevant projects. pay was also solid. Additionally. Place was very political.

    Advice to Management

Don't hire interns if you don't need them. A lot of time was spent sitting around. Hopefully things pick up and that way.
