I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at AutoZone
Interview
I was a current Parts Sales Manager working there for about a year prior to my interview. The interview was a panel interview with the Regional Manager, Human Resources Manager and Loss Prevention Manager. Mostly basic questions about loss prevention, ability to handle stressful environments, policy knowledge and hiring/coaching employees. It lasted for about 1 hour.

I applied through other source. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at AutoZone (Toledo, OH) in Jun 2025
Interview
I had an initial phone screen. I then went into the location and had an in person interview with a District Manager and District Recruiter/HR. A couple days later i went back to the location and had a video call with an additional Commercial Manager. After the first 2 interviews i felt like it was going to be a good fit, but i was completely turned off after the video call. The commercial manager left the call right after it started and never showed his face on the call. When he came back It felt like he was pop quizzing me on the inner workings of AutoZone knowing i had never worked there. He was rude and spent the majority of the time talking about employee hygiene and how i would handle that. He was asking specific questions about AutoZones chain of command knowing i couldn't answer. It felt like i was an employee applying for a promotion when in reality i was a brand new candidate. It was very odd. I was told another Regional Manager would reach out to me for what would have been a 4th interview. I lost interest. I Cant imagine why they are always hiring.
